Hi, my name is Muhammad Sabieh Anwar. And I would like to share today that with the help of Hamza Waseen and Faizan-e-Ilahi, I've been able to come up with this textbook Quantum Mechanics in the Single Photon Laboratory is actually a compendium of experiments that are aimed at showing that the quantum mechanics that you learn in your textbooks is not a mere figment of the imagination. It's something that can come to life. And one way of seeing quantum mechanics in action is through a series of experiments which employ the polarization state of a single photon to demonstrate eerie quantum mechanical effects such as whether a photon interferes with itself, is the photon a particle or a wave, can these quantum entities defy local realism and can they be non local, and if we could measure quantum states. So this is a series of carefully designed quantum mechanical experiments which can be employed in the instructional laboratories at the undergraduate and graduate levels. And these experiments also form a sandbox for research and foraying into quantum optics, quantum communication and quantum information processing. The Institute of Physics has done an amazing job with us in helping us produce and materialize our work. So we look forward to your feedback about the book and stay tuned with our website, which is physlab.org/QMlab. Thank you.
